Learn to Weld – and Leave with Jewelry
In this hands-on micro welder jewelry class, you’ll be introduced to the PUK III micro-welder, a precision tool that’s become essential in today’s jewelry studios — especially for creating seamless, solder-free connections like those used in permanent jewelry.
Whether you’re a beginner, a metalsmith looking to expand your toolkit, or just curious about this exciting trend, this short and focused class is the perfect entry point.
What You’ll Learn
During this 90-minute session, you’ll first get a clear overview of how to use the micro welder safely.
Then, you’ll jump into guided practice on two essential applications:
-
Closing jump rings with strong, precise welds
-
Creating connections for clasp-free permanent bracelets
In addition to hands-on time, you’ll also get helpful tips on machine settings, troubleshooting, and choosing materials. As a result, you’ll walk away feeling more confident with both the tool and the process.
Certification + Your Own Bracelet
By the end of this micro welder jewelry class, you’ll be certified to rent time on our in-studio welder. You’ll leave with a custom-fit permanent bracelet, made in sterling silver or gold-filled chain.
If you’re new to metalwork and want more practice with forming and finishing, check out Alaine’s Simple Earrings class. Or, if you’re ready to dive into torchwork, our Silver Stacking Rings class is a great place to start learning how to solder!
