Prong Setting

Tuition: $145
In this class Liam will walk you through setting a 5 mm round CZ. Then he will move on the a pear and a princess cut. You will learn to set these stones into a precast bronze rings. This course does not cover the creation of the setting, it will only go over the setting of the stone and light finishing techniques.
Some jewelry skills required.
Step- Bezel Setting
with Liam Schnell
September 13th| 12 PM – 4 PM
Tuition: $145
In this class you will learn how to creating a step bezel setting for a faceted stone or small cabochon. A step bezel is a setting featuring an internal ledge, shelf, or “step” that acts as a built-in seat to support a gemstone. You will solder the setting to a 12 gauge half round ring shank. You should leave the class with a beautiful custom ring. We will have a variety of stones available for purchase that are oval/round and 5-10 mm in diameter. If you’re wanting to bring in your own stone please let us know the sizing, just to make sure it will fit within the parameters of the course. For larger flat back cabochons we recommend our build a bezel course!
