Learn the Art of Lost Wax Casting
In this weekend intensive, Griselda will take the first day to show you the basics of carving a wax ring. After you carve the ring you will sprue and invest the creation. Overnight the wax will burnout in the kiln and you’ll come in the next day ready to cast. She will walk you through melting and pouring the metal and then show you basic sprue clean up and finishing techniques!
What’s included in my kit?
- Wax ring blank for carving,
- Cost of casting- use of investment and flask
- Bronze casting grain
If you’re interested in casting in silver it will be available for purchase from us marked up from 30% of market price. If you bring in your own casting grain we reccommend atleast 1 troy oz.
