Start Making Jewelry!
You will create a mosaic-like pattern where the metals exist alongside each other, rather than one on top of the other. You will join separate pieces of sheet metal to form a new, unified surface. In the process you will become a sawing and soldering savant!
Day one you will spend getting familiarized with desginging a pair of earrings, pendant, or keychain that follows the mixed metal puzzling technique. After your design has been approved by Griselda, you will begin sawing the metal. By the end of day one you should have most of your pieces if not all sawed out! Day two will go over complex soldering and then finishing. (You may still have some sawing to do!) This is a sawing and soldering heavy class, if you’re wanting to learn more about complex cuts of sheet metal and sweat sodlering this class is the class for you.
