About the Class
Join celebrated metalsmith Agnes Seebass for a one day workshop on how to turn your silver or gold scraps back into wire or sheet. She will go through the process of making and an ingot and then using the rolling mill and draw pull to create wire or sheet. The scrap does have certain requirementd! We ask that if you are using our crucibles, your scrap be free of solder as solder damages our crucibles.
Can I come back and do this once I’ve taken the class?Â
Of course! We offer $15 an hour rental for you to come back and use our equipment to repurpose your scrap.
Why Take This Class
This class is designed for Jewelers who have scrap and want to know what they should do with it. Silver is rising and gold is at an all time high and in this economy, we need to be able to repurpose our scraps! Other options of repurposing your scrap metal would be casting!
