Having trouble setting angled stones?
Looking to improve your stone setting skills?? This bezel setting class shows how to set irregular shaped cabochons In just five hours, you’ll learn how to create a simple bezel from scratch and finish your own handmade ring or pendant.
You’ll choose a stone from our stone library (sold separately) with an angle. This could be a tear drop, a rectangle, triangle, marquise- or your own funky thing. You’re welcome to bring in your own cab, but it must have a flat back and be able to fit within a 1.5 ” x 1.5″ back plate.
What You’ll Learn
This bezel setting class covers the foundational steps you need. You’ll start by selecting your stone, then choosing whether to make a ring or a pendant.
Next, you’ll:
-
Measure and cut your bezel wire
-
Form and solder the bezel to fit your stone
-
Seat and set your cabochon securely
-
Clean up, polish, and finish your piece
Each step builds on the last, so you’ll grow more confident as the evening goes on. If you enjoy structured learning, this class provides a clear, supportive path.
Materials Included
We’ll provide everything you need. That includes all metals and tools, plus your choice of making a pendant or a ring.
Cabochon stones will be available for purchase in-studio. Lindsay will help you choose the best one for your design.
Who Should Join This Bezel Setting Class?
Whether you’re just starting out or an expert that needs a technique refresher, you’ll fit right in. The goal of the class is to help you better understand bezel setting as a whole and leave with a piece you’re proud of.
