Requirement: Must be able to install and run software on personal laptop. Link to software will be sent after sign up. Please make sure all software is downloaded prior to the beginning of class.
We also reccommend (as Dante explains it is nearly impossible to use CAD without one) that you have a mouse attatchment for your device.Â
Course Description
This class introduces jewelers to a complete, real-world workflow for 3D printing jewelry models
intended for casting. The focus is on practical, repeatable results and understanding how digital design
decisions affect printing success and downstream casting outcomes.
Dante will help you to understand how to design models that print reliably and cast cleanly.
Optional Print Service
Printing is not included in this course, but students may opt to have their model printed after class.
• Cost: $30 per model (class-only rate)
• Resolution: 0.025 mm layer height
• Includes printing, gentle cleaning, and controlled curing
• Limit: one model per student
• Casting is not included and is handled separately by the shop (See our casting services page for more information.)
What This Class Does Not Cover
• Full CAD or sculpting mastery
• Casting techniques or burnout schedules
• Polishing instruction
• One-click or AI-generated finished designs
