Join us for a hands-on summer jewelry camp where kids and teens ages 11-17 will learn real metalsmithing techniques in a fun, safe, and creative environment! Whether you come for just one day or the whole week, each session offers a new project and skill set—from forming and sawing to soldering and casting. Students will explore tools like hammers, torches, and jeweler’s saws while making their own wearable art alongside other young artists.
Here’s what we’re making each day:
Monday, July 20th- Forming a Brass Bracelet: Start with a flat sheet of brass and transform it into a bracelet. Kids will learn how to texture and shape metal—an exciting and foundational technique in metalsmithing. $15 Material Fee
Tuesday & Wednesday, July 21st & 22nd – Sawing and Riveting: Design and saw out your own shape, then learn to cold-connect it to a backing plate with rivets. Mastering the jeweler’s saw is a big step toward creative freedom in jewelry making! $20 Material Fee
Thursday, July 23rd – Stacking Rings: Let’s stack them up! Make stackable rings in silver. Learn how to size, solder, hammer texture, form and patina a beautiful stack of rings! Your kid could be a silversmith. $40 Material Fee
Friday, July 24th – Sand Casting: Learn the amazing process of sand casting molten metal to create custom jewelry pieces. It’s approachable, exciting, and seriously cool. $30 Material Fee
All Levels: No experience needed, open to all skill levels
