Make Your Own Set of Sterling Silver Rings
In this fun and beginner-friendly evening ring making class, you’ll learn how to create a custom trio of sterling silver stacking rings, including one set with a gemstone!

Whether you’re completely new to metalsmithing or just looking for a creative night out, this is a great way to explore jewelry making in a relaxed, guided environment.
What You’ll Learn
Over the course of the evening, you’ll be introduced to essential jewelry techniques used to fabricate and finish rings by hand. Step by step, you’ll explore:

How to measure, cut, and form sterling silver wire into ring bands

Techniques for soldering and shaping metal using jeweler’s tools

How to clean, polish, and finish your work for a professional look

Using pre-made bezel cups to set a cabochon stone securely
You’ll start by creating two classic stackable bands. Then, you’ll complete a third ring featuring a bezel-set gemstone for a pop of color and sparkle.
After this Ring Making Class
By the end of class, each student will go home with three beautiful sterling silver rings! Two simple bands and one with a gemstone accent — all made by hand. The materials fee covers everything, so just show up ready to learn and create!
This is a great standalone workshop or a solid stepping stone into more advanced jewelry classes like our Benchwork Basics Course. Come solo or bring a friend — either way, you’ll walk away with new skills, new jewelry, and maybe even a new favorite hobby.
