This course builds upon foundational skills from Jewelry Techniques 1 (or equivalent) and introduces intermediate metalsmithing techniques. Students will learn and apply methods such as sweat soldering, working with mixed metals, granulation, texturing through roller printing and stamping, prong and tab settings, and professional polishing.
Mixed Metal Layered Pendant with Prong Setting: Texture using roller printing and stamping, layering metals through sweat soldering, and setting stones with prongs.
Tab-Set Cabochon Pendant: Crafting straight and uniquely shaped tabs, exploring integrated bail variations, and securely setting cabochons.
Basic and above: Jewelry 1 skills required
