In this 2-day workshop you will fabricate an etched “I VOTED” brooch using many metalsmithing techniques and processes.

Day 1: Dive deep into mastering Chemical-Free Salt Water Electrode Etching. You’ll learn how to etch designs on copper, silver, and steel, including flat sheet metal, rounded surfaces, and other odd items.

Day 2: You’ll transform your etched copper cabochon into a finished brooch by setting it in a silver bezel setting, attaching a four-point pin back, and polishing the final piece with a buffing wheel and flex shaft. By the end of the day, you’ll leave proudly wearing your handcrafted brooch!

All Levels: No experience needed, open to all skill levels

Full tuition credit or a full refund minus a $15 cancellation fee.
Kit fees are non-refundable, however, you are welcome to pick up your kit within 14 days of the class.
Tuition credit must be used within six months of your original class date.

40% credit minus a $15 cancellation fee.
