Join us in learning the basics of filigree – the beautiful art of the twisted wire!

Filigree is known for its light and airy feeling and transparent quality. In this class, you’ll be learning the basics of making a frame out of sterling silver, and filling the frame in with delicate thin twisted wire. We will also learn how to make the twisted wires and how to solder with powdered solder once the wires are in the frames.

Andi will be demoing a leaf pendant, but participants are welcome to bring ideas that they think can be finished during the class duration. The course will focus on the scroll technique, but will also discuss different techniques and their applications in future pieces.

Jewelry 2 skills are required, knowledge of soldering is a must
